City of Painesville’s Parking Garage Demolition.

The parking garage located behind Victoria Place in the City of Painesville was deemed unsafe for continued usage.  With concrete falling from ceilings throughout the structure and the estimated cost for repairs prohibitive, the City decided to demolish the garage.  When planning to fund this project, Painesville asked the Landbank for financial assistance. The Land Bank agreed to assist Painesville in its efforts to remove the structure by sharing with the cost. The City plans to continue providing parking on the site when completed and anticipates that in the future, this site may be used for economic development.
